What's In A Balloon (5- Many Balloons in the World)

MARIA TENO
Jackson!

MARIA GRABS LIBBY BY THE ARM, SCOWLS AT JACKSON, AND HUFFS UP THE STAIRS DRAGGING A RELUCTANT LIBBY. JACKSON PLACES HIS FACE IN HIS HANDS.

UPSTAIRS, MARIA POURS A GLASS OF MILK AND SETS IT IN FRONT OF LIBBY.

MARIA TENO
(makes thumb motion to the stairs) He can be a bit rough sometimes.

LIBBY
(nods and pauses before speaking) What's so special about a purple bag?

MARIA TENO
In each bag like that- there are 13- well, it can hold anything with out growing larger or gaining weight- it will always weigh one pound.

(Libby opens her mouth to speak, but Maria Teno continues)

BUT, if you put one pound- and it has to be exactly one pound- the bag will disintegrate.

LIBBY
Why would you care?

MARIA TENO
The bags are all over. They aren't right- we work to destroy every one.

LIBBY
That doesn't make any sense- this could be the situation to the world running out of room for the growing population- just live in a bag!

MARIA TENO
There are only twelve. We've found seven, and you're our only clue.
